INN045: Flaco : Isla Verde / Gonna Take Time

January 24, 2012 in New Release

The latest and greatest in the Innerground armoury is a superb 12″ from USA’s finest – FLACO.

FLACO returns to the Innerground fray with the follow up to his digital release “Light Em Up”. Going into heavy rotation this time, and already a staple in the DnB illuminati’s record box, is a vinyl release showcasing both sides of this versatile producer’s nature.

Stacking up the A-Side is the wonderfully worked “Isla Verde”. Knowing that this is a spectacular looking area of Puerto Rico allows the listener to envisage where the inspiration for the track came from. A lamentingly deep bassline and eloquent beat transports you to long sandy beaches and an untouched blue sky.

The flip “Gonna Take Time” is far more dancefloor oriented, with a stabbing bassline and equally truncated beat that makes for non-stop movement in the dark confines of the nightclub.

Available for pre-orders now ahead of the February release from all leading vinyl retailers, so reserve your copy now!

INN044D: DJ Chap / Level 2 : Seven Lines / Murder On The Dancefloor

January 4, 2012 in New Release

With the website back up and running after a brief hiatus over the Christmas period, it’s time to catch up on some news! The latest being the newest release forthcoming from the Innerground camp and the first for 2012!

The first digital single of the year falls to fast rising Brazilian starlets, DJ Chap and his “Seven Lines” beast and Level 2 with the monstrous “Murder On The Dancefloor”.

DJ Chap may be a new name to some, but his productions are nothing short of extraordinary. With “Seven Lines” he gets right to the heart of the dancefloor with some deep basslines and a steady thumping beat.

Level 2 is as close to being a household name as it gets these days, with a string of releases on high profile labels such as V Recordings and more. “Murder On The Dancefloor” does exactly what it says on the tin and is a real dark number to get the body moving.

This digital release will be available worldwide from the 16th January from all major digital download stores.

INN043: S.P.Y. / 8Bits & Q-Project – Hot Spot / T1

September 29, 2011 in New Release

The next few months are looking rosy for the Innerground camp, as we unleash a raft of fresh beats from some new and well-known producers alike, to get you on your feet and prancing like a crazy person!

First up, we have another top release from the one the call S.P.Y.

S.P.Y. heads up the release with his epic dancefloor number, “Hot Spot”. The flip side is home to 8Bits & Q-Project’s “T1″, which featured on DJ Marky’s FABRICLIVE 55 album earlier in the year.

“Hot Spot” comes with that angry flavour that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as it drops, and continues to contort your face as the track progresses from tough beat to heavy bassline and back.

“T1″ is a little more subtle in its delivery, yet still maintains the bass heavy elements required to move even the quietest and calmest beings into a rhythmic sway.

DOA INTERVIEWS RANDOM MOVEMENT

November 8, 2010 in New Release, News

Well renowned and widely used DnB info emporium Dogs On Acid (DOA) have taken it upon themselves to speak to man of the moment, Random Movement, about his debut album release “Lucky Guess” amongst other things.

DOA: It’s been a long-time coming with this album! What’s it like to finally see the fruits of this journey finally get released to the world?

Random Movement: It has been a long hard road, but worth every ounce of effort I put into the project. I am really happy to see it finally coming to the shelves, and I can’t express how fortunate I feel to be able to do what I do as a musician.

DOA: Did the album go through any major reorganizing or changes over the years, or was this a finished product that just took a while to get released?

Random Movement: It was completed in 2008 and then we opted to wait for a while before the release, and then some newer material I had worked months later had caused us to collectively restructure the tracklisting for the album. Marky and I went back and forth on the tracklist for a bit before really hashing out what tunes we would put on the LP, but I think we’ve made the right choices.
